Don’t Be vengeful

Do you think it is okay to take out your own revenge on somebody or a group of people because you have been wronged?

I’m sure there those who feel that they can get a “pass” if a loved one was murdered or attacked in some way, but even then do you think that is necessary? Will it bring back that deceased loved one? Will it make what was done to you or someone else become erased?

Luke 18:7-8 (New International Version)

“7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off ? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

Now tell me, which is better, God getting the revenge and the glory or you getting what you think is revenge and risk your salvation, safety and or even risk going to jail??

God knows when you’re hurting, especially emotionally over something that has happened to you or your family, so why worry about what is going to happen to those involved in the crime? There is now fiercer punishment that could ever be “dished” out by any other than the creator of the universe!

Just call out to Him and let him know that you are hurting and want to be healed from whatever is hindering you from moving on. God will always have your back! Of course we can’t expect every person who does wrong be suddenly zapped by lightening or just drop dead, those people whether you like it or not are still His children. Just believe that no one will ever get away with any crime for any reason, everyone is subject to some form of punishment in their lifetime. The offender can seem like they are living life as usual and appear to not have a care in the world, but that does not mean he or she is not subject to God’s punishment.
Instead of seeking revenge-forgive the person(s)….you are not saying that it’s okay that whatever happened happened by forgiving, but you are saying that you are not going to keep yourself and the other party in bondage by your unforgiveness and end up miserable.

To be continued…..
