John 3:16

New International Version (NIV)

“ ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

There is no other bible scripture more quoted than this. Likewise, this scripture should be known to everyone.

It is a gentle reminder that God loves everyone soooooo much that He gave us Jesus, His one and only son, whom was born without sin and performed many miracles and taught many. 

Would you sacrifice your son, whom you loved, guided and was perfect in your eyes, for the sake of many people whom you will never know in your lifetime?

We all need to go back to the beginning and remember why we are followers of Jesus Christ; this is the only exception to the no dwelling in the past issue. Every Christian needs to reignite their “fire” every now and then. Whoever says that you cannot be a “good Christian” unless your fire for God never dims or dulls at any point in your life, is lying. You are guaranteed a point or multiple points in your life where you just don’t have as much “drive” or excitement that you once had; just don’t let your drive completely “fizzle out”. Do not be ashamed.

Many people quote John 3:16, but forget about the part that you must be a believer in order to receive eternal life. So, don’t think that just because you quote scripture and do good, that that’s all you have to do to be accepted into the kingdom of God.
