Romans 12:9
New King James Version (NKJV)
Behave Like a Christian
9 Let love be without
hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly
affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to
one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent
in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope,
patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing
to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
There is a dividing line that is being made known
that is dividing the true Christians and the religious Christians.
The true Christians are those that take God’s word
as truth and do not manipulate it in order to “draw” worldly people in and make
them feel good about what they are doing or saying that is contrary to the word
of God. True Christians believe and use their authority through Christ and do
His word.
The dividing line amongst Christians can be easily
seen in just the way we look at and speak to our brothers and sisters in
Christ. We should not be criticizing each other and gossiping about each other.
In times like these, more than any other time, we
need to lift and encourage each other no matter what we are going through.
It’s easy to get out of love and into the flesh or
to take on religious behaviors or ideas, just recognize that you got off track,
repent and get back on His path for you.
